A man stands fishing from a bridge and is approached by a foul mouthed old gentleman who comes staggering by.  The old gentleman, cursing, pushes a brown bag into the fisherman's face, insisting he use its contents as bait.  The fisherman sees the bag contains what appears to be a small fluke worm.  He asks the old man what it is.  The old man curses, and strikes the fisherman in the face and cries, "It's the Gunther Weezul!"
The old man staggers off, and the fisherman, still shocked and quite perplexed, attaches the new bait to his line.   The fisherman waits.  Just as he is beginning to think that the the old man's lure is useless... the surface of the water begins to bubble in a wild frenzy.  The ground begins to shake.  The Gunther Weezul, now the size of, and resembling, some sort of long extinct lumbering dinosaur, emerges from the river.  Its mouth opens and it vomits forth thousands of gallons of water containing thousands of baffled and struggling fish.  The fish are everywhere.  The fisherman stands, soaked, in the center of giant pile of flopping and suffocating former inhabitants of the great river.  The smell is powerful.  The Gunther Weezul, deflating, shrinks back to it's original size.

This band and this album pay homage to this mysterious creature... a creature that lives and exists in our darkest dreams.  When you find yourself in one of these dreams, listen closely.  The songs on this album come from the same dark places.
